Corporate Social Responsibility

Corporate Social Responsibility is a company's set of standards and practices that govern behaviors which are accepted in local, national, and international communities as being responsible to society in general.

We consider our social responsibility to be rooted in our values of integrity, accountability and commitment, as they positively impact the various societies we work with. Those societies include, but may not be limited to, our clients and customers, our employees, our partners and affiliates, our investors and shareholders and future generations of those groups. Inherent to being responsible to future generations, we consider our environmental impact and environmentally responsible behaviors to be a large part of our overall goal to make positive contributions to their lives.

In our goals to effect positive influence and to hold ourselves accountable to our societies, we subscribe to corporate responsibility principles of integration and systemic change.

The principle of integration ensures that everyone in the company, from the Board to entry-level employees, is aware of our stand on effecting positive influence, and adopts it as part of their own personal responsibility. In other words, integrating the attitude of taking responsibility at all levels of the organization.

The principle of systemic change identifies that social responsibility is actually at the core of our operations, since it is our Vision to bring about positive change in the insurance industry and in the litigation process, and produces a shift in thinking encouraging positive growth in our community. In so doing, we strive to be an influence in each of the other societies and communities that we impact, and to encourage the same principles and practices.

Responsibility

Responsibilities of Employees

Our primary responsibility is to the stakeholders of our company. We consider our principal stakeholders to be our clients, as they are most affected by our decisions and behaviors. They also include our employees, affiliates, and investors, as outlined in our Values through our commitment to each of these groups. As a company, we have adopted and firmly believe in an outward-focused attitude of Client First in the products and services we offer, and a corporately sustaining and supporting inward attitude of Family First for our employees.

We believe that by investing in the overall interests, health and well-being of our employees and their families, we are encouraging the same attitude in our employees to take an active and positive role of commitment to the interests, health and well-being of our clients and their families.

The expectations we have of our employees are governed by our Employee Manual and our Employee Code of Conduct.

Responsibilities of Affiliates

Companies we align ourselves with should be in agreement with our Mission, Vision and Values. While we do not expect any companies to specifically adopt our Mission and Vision, we will only align ourselves with agencies that seek to contribute positively towards one or more aspects of our Mission and Vision, and that share in our values of integrity, accountability and commitment. To uphold our commitments, we expect our affiliates to uphold a similar commitment to us, and to operate in a manner that is above reproach, that treats our clients and employees-and their own-with the care and respect they deserve, and to be held accountable in their own actions and practices.

The expectations we have of our affiliates are governed by our Affiliate Code of Conduct.

Responsibilities in Operations

To be responsible to our internal community-our employees and partners-we have established standards of operations and employment encompassing hiring practices, training, wage practices, benefits, ergonomics and workplace safety, personal conduct, and standards on how we as a company will define, establish and enforce our policies, procedures and guidelines.

To be responsible to our external community, we have established ourselves as a relational corporation-one that relies heavily on its interaction and involvement with other like-minded and socially responsible agencies. We have defined our corporate governance and submitted the direction and advisory roles of our company to our Board of Directors, even though we have no legal obligation, as a private company, to be accountable to a board. We believe that it is in the best interests of our clients, employees, partners, affiliates, stakeholders-and to the community in general-that we conduct our affairs with absolute honesty and integrity, and that submitting to a board is an acknowledgment to ourselves and to others that we have all joined with a common purpose, and that we are a principle-driven and people-focused company.

The operational guidelines we follow are defined in our Employee Manual and in our Business Plan.

Society and Community

Our company mission, summarized, is to provide practical and financial assistance to people with complex personal and financial problems, and to help people in need who are disabled, facing a life-threatening illness, or who have lost a loved one, and particularly if they are involved in a claim dispute over the benefits or compensation they rightfully deserve. It is our vision to become a catalyst to bring about positive change in the insurance and litigation industries.

There are many situations and events which will be beyond the scope of our business operations, but for which our desire to effect systemic change is a driving encouragement for us as a company, and as individuals. Each year, we donate 10% of our revenues, net of expenses, to The JFG Foundation for Justice, which provides services to the disabled and disadvantaged community.

Environment

As would be expected from most modern companies and organizations, we believe that a strong commitment to environmental concerns is paramount, especially in our efforts to be responsible to the future generations of our clients, our employees, our affiliates and our company as a whole. We have chosen to align ourselves with companies that have a strong environmental dedication, we purchase equipment and technology from companies that are responsible in their environmental practices and manufacturing process, and are dedicated to recycling and replenishing programs that not only reduce the negative impacts that an industry has on the environment as a whole, but that also contributes positively to the growth and improvement of the environment in which we live.
