Community Challenges

One objective of Client Care is to help connect people to their communities and to encourage them to make use of any resources that are available to them. This consists of personal and family resources, and social support.

There are three special contributions of Client Care:

  1. Connecting individuals to community services
  2. Sustaining individuals during their crises, and
  3. Offering a source of hope.

Client Care is at the centre of an individual's social support system, and helps our clients and their family members to understand that they are truly cared for.

Supportive interactions among people appear to reduce the impact or severity of crises. Furthermore, social support can accelerate recovery, and facilitate compliance with medical regimens.
